We were in the Christmas parade on Friday. My daddy's business had a float and the kids froze their tushes off in order to throw candy. They had the BEST time!

Just Hanging Around

We haven't really done too much that is worth boring you all with. We have had company for about 2 months straight now. We really enjoy it, but really need some down time too. Hopefully we will get some after the new year. I cannot believe that Christmas is in two weeks! We have most of our presents. I am going to pick up H one last thing today, and then all I will have is M to finish up. Oh, and my parents. They do so much for us... I don't know what to get them. Any suggestions? I'm thinking about a gift card to their favorite restaurant.

Not Much To Say

I don't really have much to say today. The weather is getting colder and colder. We actually have a chance of snow on Thursday, which more than likely means that it won't happen. M and I have most of our Christmas shopping done. We just have a few more small things to get the kids. I am taking almost 2 weeks off of work during the Christmas break, and I am already making plans of some things to do to get me and the kids out of the house part of the time. I want to take them to the zoo. I may call up one of my girl friends in the DFW area and see if she and her son want to go with us. Well, like I said, not much going on. Here are a few pictures for you to enjoy.

Will It Really Be That Bad?

Last night I was sitting on the front porch with M listening about his day. H came outside and said "mommy, I need to talk to you." He was very serious and my heart starting racing because I figured he needed to talk about his "crush" or maybe puberty or something like that. Well, he wanted to talk to me because he was sending out flyers for... band tryouts. He has decided that he is going to start his own band, and if you want to be in it, you have to try out. So far, he's only found 4 people that he is interested in. Beginning next weekend, our home will be turned into a concert hall. I must find the Tylenol now. H already owns an electric guitar with an amp (very expensive equipment provided by his Papa C), a drum set, and a keyboard. I don't know if these other kids will be bringing their own stuff or what. Anyway, I wanted to laugh so hard last night when he was talking to us about it, but he was dead serious and I didn't want it to seem like I thought his ideas were stupid. Honestly, M and I cannot wait to see what kind of music they play and stuff like that. I wonder what qualifies you to become part of the band? H couldn't play an instrument to save his life. He doesn't know how to read music. I guess that they will just do whatever they want and call it music. Hmm, that seems to be what all of these new bands are doing. Oh well. Hopefully, I can find something to do on the opposite end of the house. That way I don't appear rude when I don't sit in there and watch the whole time, because I know that he will make me!

I am totally addicted to pictures of my baby. I cannot seem to get enough of him. My office is covered with pictures of my kids. My wallet contains nothing but pictures of my kids... well, my money and debit card too. I have a small (ok two of them) photo albums in my purse. D is the background on all three computers that I utilize each day. He is plastered all over the living room, the dining room, and my bedroom. I know there is nothing wrong with me because I see all of your pictures posted on your sites. But why is it that no single picture can possibly capture how beautiful children are? Nothing can capture that perfect moment in time. I've had a lot come close, but something always changes just as soon as my picture takes. Oh well, I have thousands of pictures of D (literally... I am so serious). Don't be laughing at me because you know that you do too!! Kids are so precious... why do that have to grow up and change so much in so little time?

That Time ALREADY?

I know that I have been talking about Thanksgiving and such, but it just hit me that it is less than one week away! Holy crap ! I have so much to do. This is D's first Thanksgiving so I am going all out. How I do that for Thanksgiving, I'm not really sure, but I am going to make it happen. I already know that we are going to have so much food. We are going to make everything that everyone wants. We are having it at our house and we probably have 15-18 of us that will be there. Thank goodness for a big house. I just hope that I can get people to take leftovers this year. I mean, HELLO, like we are ever going to eat all of that. M's mom and stepdad will be here on Tuesday. His dad, brother, sister-in-law, and nephew just got here this morning as I was headed out the door. So, for over a week we are going to have a houseful. I am so excited!! I love having company! I love to entertain!

Last night, S and I went on a girl's night with mommy. We had a blast! We went shopping for 3 hours. They served tons of snacks, gave away gifts, and had a HUGE sale. I am totally addicted to candles, so that is what I bought. It was so much fun. I want to start doing that more often. It was nice to just be able to look around with constantly worrying about what mess D could make or how much damage he could do to their products. Luckily D has never done either or those, but there is a chance for a first time.

Mommy and Babies

Not much going on today. Just working and getting prepared for my father-in-law and brother-in-law to come back into town on Friday. Then as soon as they leave, M's mom and dad will be in town!!! We are so excited. H and S haven't seen them since January. M and I went to visit them with D back in August. D has changed so much since then. I know that they cannot wait to see their grandbabies.
