Is It YOU?

I'm getting ready to send out my first piece of "Good Mail Rocks." I wonder who the lucky recipient will be?!

All is well in my world. M didn't hear his phone yesterday when I sent him a text message so that's why it took so long to respond to me. Luckily he is not upset. I'm sure he would have preferred that this did not happen, but it did and he is not upset at all. I LOVE MY UNDERSTANDING HUBBY!!!!

S and I went to a Mother/Daughter Tea for her GS troop yesterday evening. We had so much fun. We are going to circus for GS next week. I'm thinking of taking the boys too. I know I wouldn't have any problems with H at all, but I'm really worried about taking D. I don't think he would sit still with all of those animals to look at. I'll have to keep thinking on that one.

How was your Monday?

By the way, thanks for the recipes guys.

Give It To Me...

Anyone out there have any good slow cooker recipes? I would really appreciate them (so would my children who have to eat canned spaghetti-o's).

Thanks!

Oh yeah, I smaked the shit out of M's truck this morning with my SUV. I waited a couple of hours and then sent him a text message. So far, no word from him... do you think that's good or bad?

NEVER Flirt at a Halloween Party

A wife got a terrible headache and told her husband to go to the Halloween party alone.

He, being a devoted husband, protested, but she argued and said she was going to take some aspirin and go to bed and there was no need for his good time to be spoiled by not going. So he took his costume and away he went. The wife, after sleeping soundly for about an hour, woke without pain and as it was still early, decided go to the party.

As her husband didn't know what her costume was, she thought she would have some fun by watching her husband to see how he acted when she was not with him. So she joined the party and soon spotted her husband in his costume, cavorting around on the dance floor, dancing with every nice chick he could and copping a little feel here and a little kiss there.

His wife went up to him and being a rather seductive babe herself, he left his new partner high and dry and devoted his time to her. She let him go as far as he wished, naturally, since he was her husband.

After more drinks he finally whispered a little proposition in her ear and she agreed, so off they went to one of the cars and made passionate love in the back seat.

Just before unmasking at midnight, she slipped away and went home and put the costume away and got into bed, wondering what kind of explanation he would make up for his outrageous behavior.

She was sitting up reading when he came in, so she asked what kind of time he had. "Oh, the same old thing. You know I never have a good time when you're not there."

Then she asked, "Did you dance much?"

He replied, I'll tell you, I never even danced one dance. When I got there, I met Pete, Bill Brown and some other guys, so we went into the spare room and played poker all evening."

"You must have looked really silly wearing that costume playing poker all night!" she said with unashamed sarcasm.

To which the husband replied, "Actually, I gave my costume to your brother, apparently he had the time of his life."

Today is just a beautiful, wonderful day. Nothing special happened or is expected to happen. I just love life. I love my family. I love my friends. I love my job. I love everything!
I hope this post finds you all feeling the same way.

SERIOUS Idea Thief

I am so stealing this idea from Tori because I think it's cool and motivating and just makes you feel good.

I belong to "Good Mail Rocks." There are about 25 - 28 of us on the exclusive list. Our blog is listed, along with name, birthday, and address (private blog, only those invited can view). Anyway the point is to send "real" mail to your new friends. I have not sent mine out yet, nor have I received anything but I'm new. I am 27, and still get excited about receiving mail in my mailbox (not bills though).

I am going to start "Good News Mail" if you are interested. Send me an email at the "Contact Me" on the right side of my blog and we'll go from there. I am limiting this to 10 people right now. I'll go up to 25 if I get enough participation.

Or you can comment on this if you are interested and we can discuss details via personal email.

"Good News Mail" can be uplifting when you need it most. Very Fun Simple but thoughtful

Does anyone else have to fill out their word verification twice everytime they want to post?

The weddings were great... very short though.

At the first wedding I saw a few friends from high school (4 to be exact) but only 2 talked to us.

At the second wedding, I saw a few friends from college and 5 of my sorority sisters that I have not seen in about 4 years. We had sooooooooo much fun. I was great to catch up and to them all again. We decided to keep in better contact, so knowing them, we will be seeing a lot more of each other.

The kids are not back from their camping trip with my parents yet. It's very quiet and I'm enjoying it! I've got to started M's cheesecake here in a little bit. His birthday is tomorrow and that is what he would like to have instead of a cake. Fine with me because cheesecake is my absolute favorite. I'm trying a new recipe that has walnuts, almonds, pecans, and vanilla wafers for the crust. The cheesecake mixture includes cream cheese, sour cream, and lemon juice to name a few. I don't think that I've ever had a cheesecake consisting of sour cream before. I hope that it's yummy! Any comments on that? Anyone had cheesecake with sour cream in it before?

Amber - I'm so glad to be hearing from you! I took down my MySpace page because MySpace sucks ass!!! I seriously think that someone hacked into my account and was sending messages out to people.

You need to send me some new pictures of your kiddos!! Do you update your blog anymore?

Decisions Made

I ended up finishing the living room that I had started painting green. I now love it and my new decor. I will try to get pictures of those up as soon as possible. I have also decided to go with a goldish color in the dining room. It looks great with the living room color (the two rooms are side by side and can be seen together so I needed a color that would really compliment).

Completed Bathroom... Almost

Here are some pictures of our bathroom that I just finished two weeks ago. There is still touch up paint to do on the trim and the bottom of the window needs trim. But other than that it's done. (This was started in June 2006.) I've changed the color on the walls and the floor twice in this time. I've changed the shower curtain three times and the towels once. Luckily I am now very pleased with this.

The kiddos with the Pumpkins

I don't have much to talk about today... well okay, actually I do, but I cannot bring myself to discuss it with you yet. Don't worry, everything is fine!!!! It's just that kids grow up way to fast and when it's your child, it leaves you feeling just a bit... odd, maybe? I'm not sure which word would best describe it.

To answer to $64,000 question...

I don't know why I painted over the colors that I love. Well, actually I do... I am forever changing my mind. Luckily I have the furniture that allows me to do this, so I am only spending a couple of hundred dollars a year in paint and decor changes. I see all these ideas that I love and I try to make it work in my house; however, it never looks the same and I just end up disappointed. For instance, M's Aunt K has the most comfortable atmosphere in her living room. We tried to simulate that in our living room with the green paint and the use of lamps. Our result ended up just looking sterile. Even the red was more cozy than what it looks like now. I think that we are getting in too much natural light considering that half of our living room area is made up of large windows. I did end up liking the color a lot more than I had anticipated. Unfortunately, I did not have time to get the pics off of my camera yet.

I am definitely changing the dining room color from purple. I just need to figure out a color that will compliment the green in the living room because the two rooms are open to each other. Here is the color of green that I keep talking about. Enter Privilege Green into the search box.

In addition to my previous post... I am able to change decor so that won't be a problem. Just let me know what's "in" these days.

Also, pray for me as I tell M that I, once again, need to waste - err... spend money repainting these rooms.

HELP ME!

Okay, I was all one for offering advice to Katie not to long ago on room ideas. Well, the time has come for me to ask all of you:

New paint color for dining room. I HATE the purple. I would rather have it yellow again (which I love with a passion).

I hope to post pics tomorrow, but I started painting the living room green (previously red - which again I love with a passion).

So, what do you suggest for dining room and living room. Which by the way, are next to each other so complimentary colors would work for me.

HELP HELP HELP please!
