I am eternally grateful for these two...

They are the LOVES of my life... each one that I would do anything in this world for... each one that I will love until the day I die, but forever!

One more pound lost!

Tuesday, June 26, 2007

Hello out there....

Did anyone notice that I lost 1... ONE... UNO little pound??? Yep, I sure did. I've been hiding the announcment of it for a few days just to make sure.

I began a blog because I was curious to what the hype was about.

I continued my blog because it was easier to keep family and friends updated with pictures and brief stories about what was going on.

I LOVE my blog now because I have made a few new AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING friends!

For those of you who do not know... I do NOT like animals. However, since I became a Mommy, I have to put my own selfish desires aside to make my children happy. So we have a dog... a hermit crab... and I believe that H's frog collection is up to 7 now. My Mom has a pool so he collects little frogs daily. EEWWWW! But that's a different subject.

If the dog is to stay in the house, the kids have to let her out frequently to avoid accidents. Also, H likes for her to sleep in his room, so he has to close his door at night to keep her from running loose in the house. Well... at 5AM this morning... I hear her getting up on MY bed. Not only ummm no, but HELL NO! I am about to kick her off the bed (which is pretty high off the ground) when all of a sudden I hear my little baby boy. WTF?!! He has escaped from his room... again... and is now climbing into bed with us. I am now breathing a sigh of relief that I do not abuse animals because I would have just kicked the shit out of my son!!

Needless to say, I am still very uncomfortable about the toddler bed. This kid is crazy!

Why are some people such freakin idiots?

I was in an accident here on base on 11 June. Some kid ran into me at the post office. I thought that it would be open/shut because it was obvious what happened. Um, no. Instead he says that I hit him. And to top it off, the police summary that I just received that I ADMITTED that I hit him because I couldn't see him. WTF???!!! I am in the process of disputing this because it is completely inaccurate. I'll let you know the outcome.

We (actually H) took apart D's baby bed on Friday night. Was I ready for this? NO... NOT AT ALL! There was not a part of me that was ready to do this. I want to cry about it everytime I think about it. It sucks! Anyway, D has been sleeping in his toddler bed for 3 nights now. The thing is that now you have to rock him until he is COMPLETELY asleep, keep rocking him for about 5 minutes after that, and then put him into bed. He can get out of his bed and OPEN his door. He has been found butt naked in our room, running the bath water in the main bathroom (all the way on the other side of the house), and hanging out in the living room this morning. M says that we needed to move him before he fell out of his baby bed... well I think that this is so much more dangerous. We are going to have to put baby gates on both of his doors... yes he has one door leading into each part of the house. That is the only safe way to keep him contained. I cannot just let him wonder around the house. I knew it was a mistake to get rid of the crib. I wasn't ready, he wasn't ready. But I kept my mouth shut so I wouldn't appear to bed an incompetent mother. NEVER AGAIN!

Ahhh... finally Friday. Surprisingly, this week has gone by very quickly for me. The weather has consisted of almost nonstop rain, but that is okay because it is a rareity for us. Our lawn in nice and green and plush. I love it. My flowers are actually blooming and growing!

We have the first coat of red on our bedroom walls. We are going to finish up the second coat tonight and we should be done. I'm so ready for my bedroom to be clean and organized again. I will sleep much better!

Once that is finished, I am probably going to paint the bathroom. It should not take long and should be done this weekend also. That will only leave me the living room and then the complete redecorating of the kitchen. I saved it for last because it will be the most expensive and time consuming. It's amazing how little touches such as just repainting can totally transform your house. I love it!

This is way too personal (and embarrassing) for me, but what the hell... I need all the support I can get!

I have posted a weight loss tracker at the bottom of the page. Please help encourage me!

Please keep us all in your thoughts and prayers.

M and I just have a very uneasy that a particular issue is about to arise again. It's not that we are afraid of the outcome, it's just that it's a hassle to deal with.

Please keep our patience and level-headness in your prayers.

Thanks!
J

MUST READ

If you ever have a doubt about your ability as a Mommy, go visit Toni. She could not have said it any better.

I am so sick and tired of hearing about that spoiled little bitch Paris. Get a REAL life! Do her parents not have anything to say to her? WTF? I would be all up my kids' ass if they acted like that... I would not care how old they were.

OK... off of that subject now.

What are you all doing for Father's Day this weekend?

Peaceful Times

The most peaceful time of the ENTIRE trip!!! Yeah, I LOVE my babies!!!

Petting Zoo

This "merman" was on display. More than likely a fake, but we were totally fascinated with it. This is at the Alligator Zoo in Hot Springs, Arkansas. More than 200 alligators were roaming around this place. Eewww! First time to see a real peacock, HUGE feather span.
Taken as I was losing my lunch over all these disgusting animals. The kids loved it, so that's the only import thing... I guess.

Dining Room

I had made mention before, and if I didn't - I meant to, about just needing some change. Well, I figured I might as well be productive and I'll just change my house. I ended up painting the dining room purple. The pictures don't seem to do it justice, but I love it! I still have quite a few places to touch up the trim, so don't judge me on that!

Dining Room - Before

Dining Room - After

Be honest with me please!!! Was this a good change or should I have stayed yellow?

My next project will be the living room. It is currently Apple Red, but I will be changing it to a sage green color. I think that it will really brighten it up.

Sorry

I have not downloaded my pictures yet. Sorry! It's been crazy at our house this week. M and my daddy are completing a restoration that has a deadline of Monday. I have not even seen his much this week except when I wake up in the morning. Hopefully after Monday I can have my husband back because I NEED him! And I WANT him! At least this past week has been my monthly visitor, so his long hours haven't taken away from too much. Okay, enough about the personal stuff.

Mommy started painting my dining room yesterday. I really think that I am going to like the color. Of course, I don't expect her to complete it all, but if she does that would be so awesome.

My sister-in-law had dinner with me last night while our hubbies were working. We really had a good time. I realized that I don't spend nearly enough time with her or with my own sister. I need to get better about that. My sister, Jessica, and I used to be so close. There is no excuse as to why we don't spend that much time together anymore, but I really want to change that because I miss her so very much!!!

Hopefully, I'll get some pictures up this weekend.
