I love tattoos on women... I have 2 myself and ready for another... as long as they are tasteful I'm cool with them. I don't think woman should have them on their arms or legs (below the knee) or on their chests. I feel that they should be able to be consealed by clothing if nessesary for work and such. But tattoos are sexy. I know many people feel they desecrate your temple (body) but I feel they make it that much better. just make sure you get somehting you really want. I say never a lover's name but the names of your children are great. anyways... anymore questions about tats I'm happy to answer. I feel that tats can be used to celerate important moments in life or to mark the end of a difficut time in life... I could go on and on...
I've seen very few tattoos on women that I would have placed permanently on my body. I think that something that's going to be with you forever should have some deep personal meaning. I know a someone with a cartoon character on his calf, and I think that's ridiculous. It was purely to rebel as a teenager, and as an adult he regrets it. On the other hand, I know of women who have footprints of babies they've lost, and I think that's beautiful. So I guess it has to do with the meaning behind it. For me, I would want to do one where no one else could see it unless I wanted them to. On the other hand (I think we're up to three hands now!) my DH was really into martial arts as a teenager and got to be quite good. He wanted an Asian shield that he'd designed on his chest but never ended up getting it done. Martial arts is not as big a part of his life anymore, so he's glad he didn't get it after all.
Hi, Just stopping by to say Hi! I noticed you stopped by my blog and I love new readers so I wanted to share the love.
Also thought I'd chime in on this one since I have 8 tattoos!! I love tattoos but respect the fact that some people don't. I just don't like it when people judge me because I have tattoos. Mine are very meaningful to me so I really enjoy them. I think that would be my only advice to someone considering getting a tattoo- get something that really means something to you- not a fad or a trend that you might regret or grow out of later. I have a symbol of Rain on my shoulder for my son's middle name. I have the musical notes to Amazing Grace across my foot for my daughter and I have a celtic tree of life on my upper thigh- it is 2 trees growing together which represents my husband and I and there are 2 flowers growing out of the roots which represents my two children. I posted a picture of this one on my blog a while back. Anyway- just my 2 cents!
I have a tattoo on my right ankle...it is a Christian fish. I love my tattoo....I think it is very pretty as well as symbol of something very important to me. I think they are alright to a point, but to each his/her own!!
