You Think You Have It Rough

For all of you (including myself) that have been ever-so weepy lately because our babies are nearing the 1 year mark... think of this...

H has his first crush (at the glorious young age of 9). S had her first boy/girl dance party, where she was asked to dance by a 7 year old young man, who dipped her :( Then, yesterday a little boy wrote her a note that said "I love you." S wrote him back that she loved him and then he kissed her on the cheek. I am so grateful to be able to share in ALL of their most memorable moments. I am so lucky to be a mommy!!! I wouldn't change it for anything in the world.

So, when you want to get weepy again, just remember that your babies never stop growing. At each wonderful milestone in their life, is a moment that will take your breath away all over again. I consider myself so lucky to be able to be here for my children. To learn all about the new feelings of the "crush" every night when I lay down with H. To hear all of the crazy new "girl" things that S is experiencing every night that I try to avoid going to her room. Just kidding... once I go in there, I'm there for at least an hour.... that whole time her talking. She is just like her daddy... talk talk talk talk talk. But I wouldn't miss it for anything. The love that these kids feel for me is unimaginable. I never thought that being a mommy would feel this way. Now, I get to enjoy all of it times 3!
